This Christmastide (Jessye's Carol)

This modern carol was composed at a party, as a gift for the hostess, who happened to be - wait for it - the celebrated opera singer Jessye Norman. Penned by Jane McCulloch (we wonder if it was at the same party), J.W. Pepper tells us: "...this charming piece has a timeless quality, reflecting all the traditional beauty of Christmas in a very special musical setting that will never go out of style."
